Sorry! was formed in 1994 by Jim Adams (Defiance) and Steve Chinn (S.O.S.A, Fang). The project's concept was to never play the same song the same way twice. This lead to many very interesting jam sessions after hours at Jim's place of work, Soundwave Studios in Oakland, CA. The duo later were joined by Mitch Mayes (Defiance). All three played an assortment of instruments. Jim was the main guitarist and vocalist, Steve did mostly drums and guitars, while Mitch did mostly bass and drums. The group had many guest musicians join in on the sessions. In 1997 the group was offered the opportunity to record a song for a tribute CD. The CD was a tribute to the late horror movie director, Lucio Fulci. He directed such movies as Zombie. The 2 disk set entitled, "A Symphony of Fear" was a collection of artist playing songs from his movie's soundtracks. Sorry! recorded "Theme from Manhattan Baby" at Soundwave Studios. The track was mixed and engineered by James Murphy (Death, Testement). The band disbanded after this project was completed. | |
