While on a break from Defiance, Jim Adams performed in a band from Santa Barbara called Indica. Indica was formed by Tyler Clark (Drums), Pete Murray (Vocals), Chris Ferrante (Bass), and Kirk Laron (Guitar). The band won MTV's 1992 award for Best College Rock Band. They released this EP in 1993. Jim left to rejoin Defiance right before the 'Pavement' EP was released. The solo on 'Repressed' is an example of Jim's work on the CD. This band later changed it's name to 'Ultraspank' and recorded two albums for Sony International.

Tyler Clark is now playing drums with Retrodemon
Pete Murray is now the vocalist with Lo-Pro

The first demo titled 'Burn' which Indica recorded live in 1992 will be added to this webpage soon!
